For reasons beyond the Poule’s understanding the weather decided to be all grey and cold and fall’ish and the Poule was forced to stand in pouring rain for 10 minutes waiting for the bus to the promised land. Not code. Actual bus stop. So, finding Cruiser‘s EP in my inbox totally turned my day around – beautiful collection of dreamy indie-pop songs, with beachy guitars and infectious melodies. Super good. The whole product was produced by Jeremy Park and before you ask, yes it’s that Jeremy Park (the one who produced Youth Lagoon’s The Year of Hibernation).
Attached is my personal favorite Home Turf – on which he almost sounds like that Vampire Weekend guy. What’s his name again? Stream the great full EP (and also snag a free download of the upbeat Don’t Go Alone) on Soundcloud. And New Yorker’s listen up – he’ll be playing at CMJ next month, dates to be announced.
