Next week from 20th to 22nd Hamburg’s prestigious Reeperbahn Festival opens its gates for this years edition. Clubs and bars along Hamburg’s arguably most famous street are hosting more than 200 bands over the course of three days. Right in the SXSW-vein. Among the line-up are big names like The Temper Trap, Yeasayer, Electric Guest and the notorious Kakkmaddafakka. But it’s not just about music, Reeperbahn also hosts over 40 street, digital and fine art exhibitions throughout the weekend.
So, this kicks off a series of smaller bands on the schedule that Team Poule is really eager to see. Like the case of Swim Deep. The four lads from Birmingham have been on our radar ever since they shared Santa Maria for the 8th Poule d’Or compilation a year ago. Really excited to finally see them in action. Clearly a must-see this year. They are playing Molotow on Friday night, 00h45.
Attached is their hit single King City – last week they released a new single Honey, which you shouldn’t miss as well.
